
The role of the Academic Planning Committee Physician(s) is to support the Long-Term Care and Assisted Living (LTCAL) education portfolio by managing the development and coordination of Continuing Medical Education (CME) under the leadership of the Regional Medical Director, Long-Term Care & Assisted Living.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an Education Strategy: Establish academic priorities, schedules and timelines for Continuing Medical Education (CME) including monthly virtual rounds and annual education conference.
- Coordinate Continuing Medical Education: Identify education topics and speakers, develop proposals for CME accreditation and review feedback from session evaluations for continuous quality improvement.
- Facilitate Continuing Medical Education: Lead monthly Academic Planning Committee meetings, moderate CME events and facilitate Q&A sessions on a rotational basis.
